Disney Update

I can not believe it has been almost a month since my last post. The month of February has flown by! A lot has happened in the past month. For starters, we filed our tax returns. Usually we receive a hefty return from the Government and use that towards our vacation each year. However, this year when we filed our taxes we were surprised to find out that our return was 75% less than it usually is. That being said we had to cancel our Disney World vacation package that we had already booked. :(

We decided that in order to be able to afford to go to Disney World we will have to stay off property again. We really were looking forward to staying on property and not having a long drive each morning to the parks. But good news, after researching many options for off property (rental homes, time share rentals, hotels, etc) I found an awesome deal on a resort that is technically located inside the gates of Disney property. Wyndham Bonnet Creek is a timeshare property that has 6 beautiful towers overlooking a lake. There are even views of the Epcot fireworks available! We found a timeshare rental for less than $850 for 7 nights. The 2 bedroom 2 bathroom condo has a full kitchen, balcony and park shuttle is provided. There are 5 outdoor pools, two of which are beach entry pools. There are 8 hot tubs and drum roll....a 250 ft lazy river! There are daily activities for the children (tie die shirts, hair braiding, games by the pool, ice cream parties, etc) and there is a playground.

We will be driving to Orlando again this year. However, we are planning to drive 6 hours and then stop for the night and stay the night in a hotel. We still have not told the kids that we are going! I can't wait to tell them, they ask all the time if we can go back to Disney World.

Things I am looking forward to doing this trip:

The new Fantasyland is open now!
Allie meeting her favorite princess-Ariel (the new Ariel meetngreet is now open)
Hunter meeting Buzz Lightyear (last year we skipped the long line)
Alexis' 1st hair cut at the Main Street barber in Magic Kingdom
Riding Thunder Mountain Railroad (it was closed last time)
Epcot (we did not go last time)
Epcot Flower & Garden Show + Dole Whips with rum!
Dinner at Ohana' at the Polynesian
Riding Space Mountain with Allie (or by myself, I refuse to not ride it this year)
Not having to stop and nurse a baby in the theme parks every 4 hours :)
