We went to the Chesterfield Berry Farm's pumpkin patch this past weekend. Allie loves going there and choosing her pumpkin each year. She chose 4 small pumpkins, "one for mommy, daddy, Allie & baby Hunter" she said and she also chose a big one for the porch that ended up weighing 12 lbs! We had a lot of fun watching the cows, sheep, roosters, bunnies and goats. Allie got to ride the John Deer kiddie tractor ride too and she even got a little dirty! Next year we will have to take the wagon with both the kiddies!

Baby Shower in Richmond

My good friend Amelie hosted my baby shower here in Richmond on Saturday September 19th at Salisbury Country Club. Everything was so beautifully decorated, from the flower centerpieces to the polka dot fondant cake. We had a lot of fun celebrating baby Hunter's soon to be arrival. It was great to see my close friends and family. Clint and I have been so blessed and baby Hunter has received so many nice things.

Baby Shower in Maryland
We drove up to Salisbury, MD on the Eastern Shore this past weekend (Labor Day) and Clint's mom threw us a baby shower! We had a lot of fun and enjoyed seeing all of Clint's family. Traffic was horrible and what should have been a 4 hour drive turned into a 6 hour drive! We were also almost hit by a driver that lost control of his vehicle in the rain on I-64 and we were stuck sitting inside the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel (I hate the underwater tunnels) for 30 minutes while they were clearing an accident. Other than that the trip was great! Baby Hunter received so many nice gifts, including a double stroller which will come in handy! Along with blankets, receiving blankets, bath towels, diapers, lots and lots of bibs, a bundleme, a sleep positioner, crib sheets, a Redskins jersey, etc.We are so lucky to have such great family!

Myrtle Beach August 2009
We went to Myrtle Beach for a week with Gigi & Poppy and had so much fun! Allie loved playing on the beach and she didnt eat the sand this year which was a plus! She was able to build sand castles, play in the ocean, pick up seashells, etc. She also loved playing in the water park and going down the water slide. Unfortunately mommy couldnt go down the slides with her. The lazy river was mommy's favorite part :-)
Most days were spent on the beach under the umbrella and most nights were spent eating out, shopping at Broadway At The Beach, playing mini golf, and going to Barefoot Landing. We took Allie to the Ripley's Aquarium and she loved seeing all of the sharks and fish swim overhead. She says that her favorite part of the beach was riding the carousel! Next summer I am sure the beach wont be half as relaxing as we will not only have one child but two to get suits on, lotion on, bathe after the day at the beach, etc. Which means double the amount of stuff we have to haul down there too! We definetly need a bigger car by next summer :-)

Hunter's Room Update
Hunter's room is pretty much ready for his arrival!! We were able to use paintings in his room from when I was a baby that my parents had saved. My parents bought Hunter a new dresser for his room which looks great! The little animals on top of the dresser were a collection that I had as a baby/child and they are now Hunter's. There are less than 3 months until his big arrival, we are just playing the waiting game now!

Baby Hunter's Nursery
Clint added a chair rail to the nursery last weekend and today he painted the room, everything turned out great! We decided on a dresser and ordered it last week and it should be delivered in about three weeks. Everything is coming together with the nursery and we just need to add a few final touches and we will be set!
